22 Boat Safety Week Kickoff Event hosted by the Coast Guard Auxiliary, Palatka Amphitheater at the Riverfront, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Please bring your boat for a free vessel exam (safety check). There will be numerous life jackets on display for proper fitting and education.
The Sherriff Department’s boat, the Corp of Engineer’s air boat, the St. Johns River air boat, and the Tow Boat US boat will be on display. Free hotdogs and drinks will also be provided.

5 Old Hwy 17 Cleanup, South Crescent City, The Raheem Gillon Youth Ministeries Adopt a Road Cleanup will begin at 7 a.m. Volunteers are meeting at New Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church located on Old Hwy 17 South.

11 Florahome Community Park Clenaup, located on HWY 100 approximately 4 miles west of QI Roberts Middle School heading towards Gainesville. As you are entering Florahome, the community park is located on the right. This clean up is in partnership with the Putnam County Parks and Recreation Department. The clean up is from 8:30am to Noon.
25 InternationalCoastal Cleanup A cleanup of the St. Johns River, meeting at Veteran's Park, at the foot of the bridge, in East Palatka at 8 am. Veteran's Park, East Palatka Boat Ramp, Brown's Landing and Murphy's Island will be targeted for litter removal. We need volunteers, as well as volunteers with boats to reach Murphy's Island and to pick up trash along the river bank. fopr more info visit: www.oceanconservancy.org/cleanup

1-2 Artoberfest is a fundraising event for Keep Putnam Beautiful, the Palatka Art League and the Azalea City Cruisers held on the Palatka Riverfront, Memorial Parkway. Includes Business Expo, Car Show, Arts and Craft Show and Sale, Recycling Regatta, Live Entertainment, Kids games and activities, food vendors and much more!
Oct. 1, Street Party kickoff; 5-10 pm. Live Entertainment, Street Dance, BBQ dinner, and Poker Run; festival opens at noon.
Oct. 2, Arts and Craft Sale, Car Show, Food and Business Vendors, Live Entertainment, Kids Games and Activities, Recycling Regatta, and more; 9am-5pm

(KPB), a non-profit education organization, was organized to be a county-wide program designed to address the need for grassroots solutions to critical and costly solid waste and littering issues. KPB was certified on June 11, 1991 as a Keep America Beautiful System affiliate.
