School Initiatives
WAV Coordinator Sherrie Lowe and Keep Putnam Beautiful Director Jim Townsend conducted an instructional session for Mrs. Andersons class in ways that a water shed can be polluted. The class was held at Children's Reading Center in Palatka. Topics that were covered were chemical pollution, biological pollution, pollution by discarded trash, and pollution from our roadways. It was emphasized that all of these elements ended in the river. The program was preparation for the class trip on the river which will be held on Saturday, February 18th.
