2010 Annual Report Snap Shot
Attend monthly meetings of the Putnam County Litter Task Force
Improvements to the Water Works Environmental Education Center; attend meetings, assist with tours, workshops, and in service work days
Community Garden Projects; attend meetings (currently 5 gardens in the county)
Splash into Science Nights at local elementary schools
Participated in the Tribute to Kids event hosted by Communities In Schools
Volunteer cleanups at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, including tree trimming, weed spraying, picking up trash and tree debris, sweeping off tombs, cleaning markers, and landscaping (KPB donated $100 in landscaping materials). In addition to volunteer cleanups, KPB staff works on weekly basis to keep the grounds mowed and maintained. Since KPB has been marinating the grounds, we have noticed more care in the individual grave sites, including the placement of flowers.
Assembly of God Cleanup – 220 volunteers worked at various sites throughout the community on a number of cleanup and beautification projects simultaneously
