Cleanup and Beautification Projects:
- 14 area cleanups conducted by schools, churches, neighborhoods, civic groups, scout troops, and community volunteers.
- International Coastal Cleanup (five area docks and areas of the St. Johns River Waterway cleaned simultaneously by a group of volunteers on land and in boats)
- Great American Cleanup
- Management of the City’s Community Gardens
- On-going maintenance of St. Joseph’s Cemetery –work with probationers
- On-going facilities maintenance and improvement projects to the Water Works Environmental Education Center
- Workdays at Water Works Environmental Education Center
- Assist with field trips at Water Works Environmental Education Center
- Annual Litter Survey
Educational/Community Events:
- Water Works Environmental Education Center Programs and Tours
- Develop recycling education materials, provide educational workshops on recycling and implement programs in four elementary schools. Presentations to student bodies, classrooms and after school programs – can drives
- Presentations to civic clubs, neighborhood watch groups, and churches on recycling, litter prevention and KPB programs and activities
- Provide recycling bins to festivals and special events upon request
- Manage and maintained Adopt-A-Road Program
